Brooklyn and Antonio’s Gilbert Riparian Preserve portrait session was probably one of my favorite to dates. And it has to do with 2 super duper cute fur babies. I mean Brooklyn and Antonio are for sure some of my favorite people, but ya’ll come on… Have you seen their puppies?!!!
Morty is the little guy and Morty has one eye. Sampson is the big pup and Sampson has major side eye.
You ask Sampson to do something and the instant side eye he gives you is hilarious. Morty was terrified of the sidewalk. Like TERRIFIED. He wouldn’t walk on it. So when your puppy is scared of concrete, you end up holding him every where you go which made for some pretty sweet photos.
I first met Brooklyn a few years ago. She has done my hair for 3 years. When I say ‘does my hair’ I mean she takes my salt and pepper gray roots and makes me look 34 again. She works over at Luxe Salon and Spa in Gilbert. (if you need a great hair stylist, please call her! She’s freakin amazing!)
You know when you sit down in your hair stylists chair and you instantly start to unload all your life stories. I could have done that but let’s be real, my life is pretty basic. Not a whole lot of crazy stories to tell. But with Brooklyn, I love listening to HER stories. While most of them have to do with her puppies, it’s just so fun to get to know her.
Antonio came into her stories last year. Brooklyn’s smile got bigger every single time she spoke about him. I got to hear about their relationship every few months and each time, I could tell she was falling more and more in love with him. It was such a sweet transformation to see.
So needless to say when she said she wanted to surprise him for Christmas with photos of the two of them, I was so excited to meet the Antonio in person!! And I loved him from the get go because he is Italian. Legit Italian. And he is specifically Sicilian like I am!
Always complimenting the way she looked, telling her he loved her throughout the session and oh my gosh, the cutest, was the way he held Morty. You could absolutely see what kind of dad he’ll be one day.
Enjoy the sweetness of these fur-babies!
